Papirus Primer – Primer for Cotton Plaster

Papirus Primer is a specialist primer designed to create the ideal base for Papirus cotton plaster. Its white colour gives a neutral background that lets the depth and colour of the finish come through in full.

Quartz sand in the formula gives the surface just the right texture, so the cotton plaster grips firmly and evenly.

Important: this primer is made for Papirus cotton plaster only. It is a different product from PrepCoat (for Limewash paint) and from the primer for Marmorinus and Romanus plasters. The three are not interchangeable: each one is designed for a different finish.

How to apply:

Do not dilute with water. Papirus Primer stops moisture from soaking into the wall, which is especially important with cotton plaster. Apply two coats with a roller. Leave the first coat to dry for 24 hours before applying the second, then wait another 24 hours before applying the cotton plaster.
