PrepCoat for Decorative Paints

PrepCoat is the essential base coat for ZUBRA COLORS decorative paints – Alkantarus, Saharus and Velvetus. It improves adhesion, evens out the absorbency of the substrate and makes the decorative effect deeper, more even and longer-lasting.

PrepCoat is tinted to match your paint colour. If you have chosen Alkantarus #41 Urban Noir, your PrepCoat should be the same shade – that way the decorative layer stays uniform and deep, with no patches showing through and no shifts in tone. Choose the colour from the list when adding to your basket; if you can't see it, add the colour number in your order notes or message us on WhatsApp.

Buying paint by the square metre? PrepCoat is already included in the price. This product is for when you need the base coat on its own – for touch-ups, an extra wall or under paint you bought earlier.
