How We Calculate Limewash Pricing (€/m²)

Our pricing is based on a clear, real material calculation per square meter — so you can easily understand what you're paying for and what's included in the Limewash system.

What's included in the full system

For a proper Limewash finish, we calculate the cost for:

• 1 coat of Prep Coat (primer); 
• 2 coats of Limewash Paint.

This is the same system used in our inspirations and recommended for the best depth and natural Limewash effect.

Limewash paint cost per m² (2 coats)

A 5 L bucket of Limewash costs €162.40 and covers 75 m² in one coat.

Because we apply two coats, the same bucket covers:

75 m² / 2 = 37.5 m² (for 2 coats)

So the paint cost per m² for two coats is:

€162.40 / 37.5 m² = ~€4.33/m²

Prep Coat (primer) cost per m² (1 coat)

Prep Coat is applied in one coat.

A 2.5 L Prep Coat costs €80 and covers 37.5 m² in one coat.

So the primer cost per m² is:

€80 / 37.5 m² = ~€2.13/m²

Total cost per m² (1 primer coat + 2 Limewash coats)

When we combine both parts of the system:

~€4.33/m² (paint) + ~€2.13/m² (Prep Coat) = ~€6.46/m²

In real-life application (wall absorption, edges, brush loading, small losses), we round this to:

≈ €7/m²

for the complete Limewash system (1 coat primer + 2 coats Limewash)
